As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation, ensuring our solutions are aligned with strategic goals and operational requirements.
Role Overview
As an IT Business Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders across departments to gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements. You will play a key role in translating business needs into clear technical specifications and ensuring successful delivery of IT projects and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify, define, and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development and implementation
- Analyse current business processes and identify areas for improvement, automation, or optimisation
- Work closely with development, QA, and project teams to ensure alignment and understanding of requirements
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by developing test cases and coordinating validation activities
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to gather insights and ensure stakeholder engagement
- Maintain accurate documentation including process flows, user stories, and system specifications
- Assist in project planning, progress tracking, and risk mitigation as part of Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in an IT or digital project environment
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, and/or Waterfall methodologies
- Experience with requirements management tools and techniques such as user stories, use cases, and wireframes
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar platforms is an advantage
