As the Visual Effects Supervisor at Shodhana Limited, you will lead the creative and technical execution of all visual effects (VFX) work across the company’s digital projects. You will oversee the VFX pipeline, guide a team of artists and compositors, and ensure the seamless integration of VFX into product videos, commercials, and interactive experiences. Your expertise will be critical in elevating the visual storytelling and ensuring that all effects meet the highest standards of quality, creativity, and realism.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all aspects of the VFX process, from initial concept and pre-visualization through to final compositing and delivery.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, animators, and other creative leads to define the VFX vision for each project, ensuring alignment with the overall creative direction.
- Lead, mentor, and provide feedback to a team of VFX artists, compositors, and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Oversee the planning and execution of complex visual effects, including simulations, particle effects, matte paintings, digital environments, and CGI integration.
- Review and approve all VFX shots, ensuring technical accuracy, visual consistency, and adherence to project timelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges within the VFX pipeline, optimizing processes for efficiency and quality.
- Coordinate with production teams to schedule VFX work, allocate resources, and manage deadlines.
- Stay current with emerging VFX technologies, software, and industry trends, evaluating and recommending new tools and techniques for adoption.
- Ensure all VFX work adheres to company standards, client specifications, and legal requirements regarding copyright and licensing.
- Prepare detailed documentation and reports on project progress, challenges, and solutions for internal and client review.
Required Experience and Tools
- Extensive experience in VFX supervision for commercial, film, or digital media projects, with a portfolio or showreel demonstrating leadership and technical expertise.
- Proficiency with industry-standard VFX and compositing software, such as Nuke, Houdini, Maya, After Effects, and related plug-ins.
- Strong understanding of the entire VFX pipeline, including pre-visualization, asset creation, simulation, rendering, and compositing.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor creative teams, providing clear direction and constructive feedback.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
