Refunds & Cancellations

Refunds & Cancellations

This policy covers cancellation and refund requests for Shodhana courses and services. It preserves your statutory rights. Last updated: 30 October 2026.

How to cancel or request a refund

Email contact@shodhana.uk or use our contact form. Include your name, course or service, booking reference if available, the date of purchase and a clear statement that you wish to cancel or request a refund. A reason is not required when exercising a statutory cooling-off right. Please do not send payment card details.

Consumer cooling-off period

If you are a consumer buying a service or digital content at a distance, you will generally have 14 days to cancel, starting the day after the contract is made, subject to the statutory exceptions. We will apply any longer period required by law, including where required cancellation information was not provided.

Services started during the cancellation period

If you expressly ask us to begin a service during the cooling-off period and later cancel, the law may allow a proportionate charge for services already supplied, provided the required information and request were obtained. The right to cancel a fully performed service is lost only when the legal conditions, including your prior express request and acknowledgement, are met.

Downloads and streamed digital content

For digital content supplied immediately, the cancellation right is lost only when the required prior express consent to supply, acknowledgement of the loss of the right to cancel, and contract confirmation have been obtained. Merely publishing this policy or opening an account does not provide that consent. Without the required steps, your applicable cancellation rights remain.

Problems with a course or service

If content is faulty, a service is not provided as agreed, or Shodhana cancels a booking, contact us so we can assess the appropriate remedy. This can include correction, repeat performance, a price reduction or refund, as applicable. This policy does not limit your statutory rights.

Refund processing

Where a statutory cancellation refund is due, we will refund without undue delay and within the applicable legal deadline, normally no later than 14 days after being informed of the cancellation. Refunds use the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed, without a refund fee. Any lawful deduction for a service already provided will be explained.

Other requests

Outside statutory cancellation rights, any additional refund entitlement depends on the written terms of your booking. We will review other requests on their circumstances; this policy does not promise an additional unconditional refund period. Business bookings follow their agreed contract and applicable law.

Optional cancellation wording

You may use this wording, but it is not compulsory: “I wish to cancel my contract for [course or service], ordered on [date]. My name is [name], my address is [address], and my booking reference is [reference, if known]. Date: [date].” Send it to contact@shodhana.uk or to the address on our Contact page.
